Course Description
Intermediate NX Design and Assemblies is designed to thrust students further up the productivity curve. As a second tier course Intermediate NX Design and Assemblies builds on the tools you deployed as a result of attending the Essentials for NX Designers course. This method-based course focuses the student on productive modeling techniques that capture design intent in the context of the Master Model. Delivering on that outcome, this course will incorporate sketching, inter-part modeling, design intent for expression associativity, and several assembly topics as a significant part of the instruction.
Prior to NX 5 the class was Design Applications using NX
This course is intended for all NX users including:
- Engineers
- Designers
- CAD/CAM Managers

In order to provide a high quality education experience to
our customers, all students must meet the prerequisites before
attending this class.
The following are prerequisites for either the NX or NX 2 class.
For the NX 3 or NX 4 versions Design Applications using NX class
you need to have taken the
NX 3 or NX 4 version Practical Applications of NX class.
For the NX 5 Intermediate NX Design and Assemblies class you need to have taken the Essentials for NX Designers (NX 5) or prior version of Practical Applications of NX class.
- Essentials for NX Designers course.
- Practical Applications of NX course.
- Or successful completion of the corresponding prerequisite assessment on the Learning Advantage website.
- 160 hours experience with NX Solid Modeling after Essentials for NX Designers (or Practical Applications of NX)
